RQ's Blog

Here are the cutoff and Olympics rumors from RQ:

"An agency says they will make it to the 12th. I do not know if the agency is saying that the 12th will be included, or if the 12th will be the cut-off. "

Then: "a European agency was told by the CCAA that there would be no TA’s or matching during the Olympics, from August 8 to August 24."

First let me say the 12th SUCKS!! Ok, got that off my chest. I was expecting it. But just like every month, you get hopeful for more.

Now, there's this Olympic thing. With still expecting a Aug referral, (referrals come at the beginning of the month, so this should not affect Aug. batches,) I'm wondering about TA's. Honestly, other then affecting families that would normally travel between Aug 8th through the 24th, I do not see why this should affect us. Two weeks of no TA's with all these small batches should not back them up. They used to do twice as many. My 171-H expires Oct 17th 2008. I am trying to talk myself through this. Usually we would travel Mid Sept to first of Oct. If any delay, I'd be really pushing it with our paperwork. I do not want to do another HS. DH would hit the fan. He is so fed up with the paper work thing. And I am tired. I'm so glad that this is the year, but some days just get a little sick with all the rumors. Wish I could stay off of RQ some, but it's too late, I'm addicted!!!

Thinking Out Loud

I'm feeling a little antsy. Wondering what the next cutoff will be. After making vacation plans for July, it just kinda hit me. We are two to three months away from seeing our daughter's face. Tears come. Are we really finally there? This seems surreal. I am so ready to see how far we get this month. CCAI is still saying they "hope" to see ours in July. I'm still thinking August, but hey, that's only three months away. If they get past the 13th , I can see July happening. May had a big batch in 07'. (I hate using the word "batch") Maybe we'll get a repeat. I know I'm rambling this morning, but I'm gonna be a Momie!! For real!
The Spanish Blog is saying they will know the cutoff early next week. They are expecting referrals to be mailed before the May Holiday. So We may start seeing those little faces by the end of next week!!

Ocean Front It Is

The decision has been made. We'll be staying right on the Fishing Pier! DH can do his night fishing while I sleep comfortably in a bed!!! Last year we did the camping thing, learned my lesson. No camping unless we are headed west!! This will be great! We haven't really done anything major in the past few years because we thought China was gonna be our big "vacation". Check this out, we are thinking August for our referral. Referrals come in once a month, typically towards the beginning. After three years of waiting, not planning a big vacation, watch us get a early referral and have to come home to sign the acceptance. ( it needs to be signed and overnighted back.) Oh yeah, that's the plan!!! I'd be home in a heartbeat!!! (it's only what 1 1/2hrs?)

Dora Mae

Last Sunday my great grandmother past away. I only saw her once a year, she was a hand full. She was my last living grandparent. I guess since she wasn't a part of my everyday life it's harder to believe she's gone. She had five children, twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. What a legacy! She loved her garden, wonder if that's where I get it from? And was loved very much.
My azeala's are bloomin' Grandma!

Sound Side or Ocean View?

That is the question! I'm having a very hard time deciding which one we would enjoy better. Sound side has it's own dock. We could bring the Hydro Sport and the guys could do a little deep sea fishing. Plus we can see the fireworks from the deck.
OR........ Ocean view. Right there, where you can run in and out during the day. Hear the waves at night. I just can't make up my mind. I'll give it a couple of days.

Life Lock

When I got home last night, long day, there was a message for me from our credit card company. "Mrs. Foy, there has been a suspicious charge trying to go through your account. Please contact us at your earliest convince." WHAT!?! So I call them back ASAP, only to find out someone is trying to charge a plane ticket to Ethiopia! My CC company did not accept the charge and that card has been canceled. I have always tried to be careful. The last transaction I made was to Walking Rock Farms, Sophie's carrier, and I ordered it over the phone b/c I was not so sure about the security of their site. ( not bashing the site or anything, that's just me) Well earlier, I had been contemplating on getting some kind of protection. Identity theft is huge now a days. Well not "thinking" about it anymore. Doing It!! The company is called Life Lock. Montel Williams did a show on this a month or so ago. I'm sold now!

Rumors Southern Style

So, lately I've heard a few folks comment about Southerns and their "cute" sayings, So here's a Update about Rumors Southern Style:

Well butter my biscuit!! It ain't over till the fat lady sings! We are now seeing rumors that the cut off is the 10th! It's got folks running around like a chicken with their head cut off. Sure did hear a lot of half cocked info this month, but hey, that's what rumors are. If we do get to the 10th, I'd be happier than a pig in slop!! Welp, guess I'll stop chewing the fat and get back to it.

Tolerance, Ignorance?

My heart is deeply burdened today. I had some free time yesterday to check out Blogs. It's so sad to see such seemingly good, well intentioned, educated people, so lost. Even people that have been brought up in "religious" homes, don't have a clue. They are caught up in this world of "tolerance".

I came across a blog telling about two recent deaths of children. One in Oregon, the other in Wisconsin. They died because their parents opted to pray instead of provide them with the medical care they needed.

First let me say that I do believe that this was neglect! This story in itself bothered me. These parents were wrong and this is not what the vast majority of Christians believe.

The comments left on this blog is what really, I guess you could say, woke me up again. Everyone being so nice. Trying not to offend anyone. Some seemed to be very confused on the issues of whats "right and wrong". " If I don't believe I should tell people whether or not to have an abortion then how can I tell them to not believe in the "power of prayer" as well?" Honey , there is such a huge difference. Prayer is a very real and powerful thing. When we ask our Father for help, He can send it in so many different ways. Modern Medicine is just one of them! On the topic of abortion, How can we tell a woman what to do with her own body? The question isn't how, it's why. There is an innocent unborn child growing inside of you. Abortions are destructive to women physically, emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually. An on a more personal note. I heard my child's heart beat at 7 weeks old. My CHILD, NOT FETUS. I miscarried at 10 weeks. What comforted me through that was knowing that my child was in my Fathers arms.
There is too much tolerance. Christians are being Silenced. Media is totally biased. Wake up America!! Your Children are Hurting!! If we do not teach them, then how will they know. I am guilty. I am the silent type. We all need to find our voice, however large or small it maybe, and let it be heard.
Sorry if I've been rambling, but my emotions are all over the board today.

Back to the Life

It looks like the 9th is all we get for this month. So I'm back to the original thinking of July or August
.
Anyway, I kinda forgot about my big ticket item for March, so I just ordered my HipBaby by Walking Rock Farms. Wonder what Aprils big item should be??? Play yard or Crib Mattress. Hummmm.......we'll see. I might skip April since my crowds heart worm pills need to be refilled. ( three dogs over 100lbs)

I did start on my closet this week. That's gonna need some more attention.

And the painting the kitchen thing, well that might have to wait until the hot summer. Right now, if the weather's nice I want to be in the yard!

Oh yeah and for those who know about my Hair Stylist Dilemma. The search is finally over. After a what, a year maybe, of going to different stylists, traveling as far as Greenville, who'd a thunk it?!? I found the BOMB right here in little ol' Windsor. YAY!!!!

No, No, No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK. Ready to get SLAPPED in the Face!!! How about Jan. the 9th!!!
I hit the Floor. If I was not 32 years old, I would throw a good old fashion temper tantrum!! I'm so sorry, but I hope the person who started that 13th rumor was being truthful and did not post an out right lie. It didn't feel right to me when I read it, but I allowed myself to believe it. And now I have to pick myself up and regroup. I am so glad they are finally in the month of January. Reminding myself of that helps!!! So back to the calculators!! The month of August is starting to come back to me now.
